Cure for baldness, is there one out there?

 If your hair is thinning or you are noticing male pattern baldness take shape, most people start asking the question, “Is there a cure for baldness”.  There are a number of products on the market claiming to be the best hair loss solution or hair restoration but we recommend that you speak to your doctor before taking anything claiming to be a hair loss remedy or cure for baldness.

There is actually no prescription cure for baldness but there are a few recognized alternatives worth exploring.  For thinning hair and modest hair loss, minoxidil, is an over the counter topical cream that is rubbed into the scalp twice a day.  It is sold under its brand name of Regaine.  Two-thirds of men who use it experience some hair growth improvement after 4 months.  The more hair you have lost, the longer it will take for you to see results.

Finasteride sold under the name Propecia comes in a pill form and is used to treat male pattern baldness.  Propecia takes between 3 to 6 months to work and has been effective for approximately 80% of the men who have used it.  Once you stop taking the drug, you will likely loss the hair that has grown in while taking it.  So is there a cure for baldness?  There doesn’t appear to be on unless you are up for hair replacement grafts!
